The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to undertake Crane Controller Ballast Management duties.

Requirements

Delegates must hold
current and valid:
- Crane Controller
and
- Excavator competence
Successful accreditation of Crane Operator OTP awards all machine types in the group. The trainer/assessor’s organisation shall manage the machine specific competence in line with their Competence Management System.
Post Training Requirements
Upon successful completion of the course the delegate shall be awarded full competence followed by a period of workplace support.
Primary sponsor shall make suitable arrangements to provide additional workplace support in line with their own Competence Management System until such a time the primary sponsor identifies that it is no longer a requirement. Periods of workplace support should be recorded, documented and retained for audit purposes.
Provided the delegate achieves competence, NCCA Sentinel shall be notified and the skills added to the delegate’s Sentinel Smart Card records. Additionally, the delegates’ company’s authority to work record shall be updated to reflect successful completion of this training event.
If competency cannot be demonstrated, further training and assessment shall be undertaken.
