Andy Mckenna - Managing director
Andy is a trainer and assessor for just about all of the sentinel railway competences plus a few more. He has a teaching background with colleges, but his career with railways comes from his passion for steam trains and heritage railways. He regularly drives steam trains so his knowledge of railways is two sided.

Sheila Mckenna - Director support services
Sheila has been a trainer over 20 years when she started working with adults and children who had additional specific educational needs. Training people with additional training needs has been of special interest of hers as she worked in the Deaf community for 12 years. She has had an interest in the railway for many years. She has visited many railway sites through her involvement as a steam support crew member and is the fund raising officer for A4 locomotive Sir Nigel Gresley, currently based on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, where she is a qualified fireman.

Paul Yeomans - Director delivery services

Paul is a trainer and assessor who has been with Amtrain for since 2001. He also has a teaching background with a local college where he taught young and old students and some with special needs. His career on the railway started as a trackman, he is still quite a hands on trainer and his speciality now is with plant and machinery.

Richard Corser - Financial Director
Richard has been working with Amtrain for for 4 years but has recently come on board as our financial director. Richard also has a passion for railways with steam trains and heritage sites.

Dave McDonough - Training Manager
Dave has been at Amtrain for about a year and his background of 21 years in railway engineering and safety critical training, has enabled him to provide a valuable progression for the company in other areas that we would like to develop including National Vocational Qualifications, and to comply with and support the rigid audit regimes that exist within the railway sector.

Alex Pond
Alex has been licensed to teach and assess a variety of railway skills for 10 years. He prides himself on delivering enjoyable, informative and practical sessions to all levels of competence. He is also operational and regularly works on site at weekends undertaking both practical and safety critical duties.

Jenny Tamplin - Senior Administrator

Jenny joined Amtrain August 2008. Her role within the company is coordinating the training courses she is invaluable to Amtrain. Everyone who walks through our doors knows Jenny for her infectious laugh. ! prior to Amtrain Jenny had a varied career in Retail Management and Banking

Nick Richards - Training coordinator
Nick has been working for Amtrain since March 2009. During this time he has widened his role from Training coordination to include Accounts payable. He has attended an A1 Assessors course with a view to ultimately becoming an ES and COSS Assessor.
