This competency is needed if you are expected to safely control machines that undertake lifting duties. i.e. 360° excavator cranes, rail mounted cranes. Some attachments are awarded with this competency i.e. loose lifting tackle and some powered lifting equipment. Pre requisite Coss and core module and possibly a machine type depending on what crane you want to control.
